Tuesday

Snow falling then stopping then clearing.
Fuzzy distant sunlight.
Long shadows fall across fresh snow.
Snow like dough stuck to the branches of the green pines trees along the way.

Wet starlings in the top branches of the big tree.
The sound of water falling.
Mucky snow underfooot.
Snowflakes float randomly through the air.

Warmer air & dirty, sloppy snow.
The off -white sky masks a soaring seagull.

Thursday

Morning air cold & sharp as hell.
Three starlings & a pigeon play in the dirty snow.
A shaggy Saint Benard with smiling eyes lying in the snow.
The sharp crescent of the new moon hanging in the night sky.

Wednesday

The land & the land of snow merge into one white whole.
Grey & white cat with green eyes chases a nugget of food across the floor.
The sky lightens into a wash of light blue.
A seagull & a starling fly through the clear air.
A dark tabby cat eat snow crumbs on the path.
Two starlings huddle next to a chimney.
A brown pigeon with wigs extended in full flight is frozen into a boulder of snow.
Snow crystals float through the night air.

Monday

Dry snow blows like desert sand.
Fat black crow cries in the big bare tree.
A thousand sparrows take refuge in the wall of vines, twittering like teenagers.

Wednesday

Dark skies yet warm air.
The earth is wet & tracked with mud.
No sights or sounds of birds.

Tuesday

Sky flat & dim like a 30 watt bulb.
10 000 little birds hidden in the green hedge out back chirp & cry & clamour for more life.
Broken & shattered ice on the puddles along the way.
Little red teardrop-shaped berries still cling to the the dry stalks of their mother-bush.
Nine (9) crows fly in a strange pattern in a northwest direction.

Monday

Sunlight pouring forth across the way.
Earth cold & dusted with frost.
An orange tabby slinks past the bedroom window.
The air is clean & crisp & somehow refined by the low temperature.

Saturday

Snow is general across the land.
