Thursday

The morning rain pauses for a moment, and veiled sunlight takes the stage.
A seagull pokes around in the muddy grass, looking for breakfast I suppose.
The rain turns itself off & on with no rhymes nor reasons throughout the long, gray day.

Monday

A flurry of sparrows rushing from one tree to another, like a gust of wind.
Warm sunlight & clear blue skies spread themselves evenly & lovingly across the day.
A couple of trees starting to yellow & wane.
A black cat with green eyes shuns me in the alley.
Sunlight bakes the insides of my bare forearms at its zenith.
Three sparrows return for a visit later in the day.

Wednesday

Spooky morning fog, burnt off by 10 AM.
Blue morning glories with dusty yellow centers.
The green force of the life-matrix, fully.
Giant yellow hibiscus blossoms.
Pretty pink flowers cascading from above.
Giant palm leaves like elephant ears filtering the morning sunlight.
Papyrus, spiky & erect.
Peace & oxygen & sunlight abounding about.
1000 green sparkling leaves of 1000 different plants.
A magnificent, stately Jade tree twisted into a kingly configuration.
White flowers, yellow flowers, red flowers, pink flowers, blue flowers, all served on a vast bed of green leaves.

Saturday

Saturday morning sunlight sparkling across the choppy waves of the river.
Black sesame seeds floating on the surface of the water.
A blade of long river grass floats by under the water.
Whitecaps & their waves spice the surface of the water.
A tall, lone beech tree has begun to yellow, announcing its avant-garde tendencies to the rest of the trees, still green.
Wind about the trees & grass.

Friday

The river gurgles softly.
Light sparkles silently.
A dusty grasshopper on the dusty path.
Long, wet grass under foot.
Quietude.

Thursday

Hazy sun breaking through at the start of the day.
A slight chill holds out from the night before.
A crow chants mantras somewhere in the distance.
Little white flowers tremble in the morning air.
Two ducks float on the choppy waters of the canal.
