Tuesday

Silver moonlight sparkling off the dark flowing river, the swollen moon herself hovering silently above.
In the foreground, a single firefly flits about, trailing it's phosphorescent light through the long stalks of grass.
The breeze washes the leaves of the trees in it's nocturnal warmth.
Far, far away the stars twinkle.

Thursday

Eyes closed, pulses of white light and the sound of the wind in the trees over my head.
Eyes open, sunlight sparkling off the surface of the river, green trees swaying on the far shore, their colours and forms mixing.
A blue dragon fly docks on a blue cornflower, momentary chromatic compatriots.
A cricket hops along the dusty path.
Green and blue merge all around me, in shifting combinations, with yellow highlights.

Monday

Tiny dust-coloured baby snake coiled & dying on the path.
The gurgling sound of the river's deep current churning over on itself.
White sand under my feet & between my toes.

Thursday

The hazy, humid morning slides away, leaving the afternoon to be filled by summer rain.
The sky darkens accompanied by the growing wind.
Splotches of raindrops spatter against the ground, the trees, the flowers, the dark surface of the flowing river.
Life bobs & bends in concert with the storm.
Afterwards, a single green oak leaf pearled with droplets of water lying on the ground.
