Wednesday

Snowflakes falling gently, gently, gently fat as white goose feathers.
One corner of the overcast sky opens for a while, with yellowish light tinting the gap.
In a moment it closes over and is gone for the day.
Birds about.
Dead yellow grass revealed by the warming weather, pocked with icy puddles.
Later darkness & snowflakes fall slowly together, one mixing with the other.

Friday

-11 C
Light snow & cold wind blast the day.
Tree branches, emptied by the season, sway in the snowy afternoon wind.
No birds.

Wednesday

The frozen river shining like sunlight.
Red rosehips clinging to spiky stems, the only colour in the land.
Sparkling sunshine bouncing off running water.
